1941-S 1¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Strong Class VI extra thickness shows on the date, the letters of LIBERTY, and IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse has the small mint mark variety that is punched well south and slightly tilted (rotated).  A light die scratch runs ESE from the top right of the O in GOD.  A short die scratch runs NW from the left side of the 1.  Reverse:  A heavy die scratch runs from SW to NE through the upper wheat lines of the left wheat stalk protruding at the top right of those lines.  Heavy die gouges protrude from the left side of the right vertical bar of the N in ONE.  A short but strong die scratch runs SW from the rim at about 4:00.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs parallel to the rim just above GOD WE TRUST.  Reverse:  None significant.

1941-S 1¢ WDDR-001

Description:  Extra thickness and separation spread towards the center shows on both wheat ears and stems, the letters of EPU, and the dots.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse has the Small S mint mark variety.  A small die gouge (dot) can be found between the nine and the four in the date.  Reverse:  EDS.  None significant.

1941-S 1¢ WDDR-002

Description:  Light extra thickness shows on both wheat ears, EPU, and the dots.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse has the Small S mint mark variety.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found between the lower E and N of CENT.  A die scratch runs from NNW/SSE inside the lower E in STATES.

1941-S 1¢ WDDR-003         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Strong Class VI extra thickness shows on both wheat ears and stems, the letters of EPU, and the dots.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse has the Small S mint mark variety.  Reverse:  A die crack runs through the right wheat grains on the right wheat ear and out to the rim at about 4:00.  A die chip can be found on the die crack just before it turns out towards the rim.

Description:  Extra thickness shows on both wheat ears, EPU, and the dots.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse has the Large S mint mark variety.  Numerous die scratches run N/S above the first one in the date.  Numerous die scratches run SSW/NNE above the nine in the date.  Many other die scratches can be found on the obverse.  Reverse:  Die scratches run SSW/NNE throughout the reverse.

Description:  A Class I CCW spread shows on EPU, both wheat ears and stems, the upper letters in ONE, and the outer letters in USA.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse has the Small S mint mark variety.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs NNE from the upper right of the T in CENT.  A vertical die scratch can be found inside the O in OF.  Several vertical die scratches can be found inside the C in CENT.
