Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Short die scratch WNW from the upper left of the 9. Die gouge ESE from above the upper right I in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Heavily abraded. Strong E/W die scratches through the queue into the lower back of the neck. Obverse Stage C: Heavily abraded. Die scratch through queue very weak. E/W die crack through hair at the top of the head. Reverse Stage A: The reverse of Stage A is a Class VI doubled die listed as 1934 25¢ WDDR-001. Massive extra thickness spread towards the center shows on USA, EPU, QURATER DOLLAR, the leaves, the branches, the eagle’s head, and the eagle’s wings. A short die gouge runs ENE from the lower right A in STATES. Reverse Stage B: New reverse die. None noted. Reverse Stage C: None noted. 1934 25¢ WDDO-003 Description: A close Class I CCW spread shows on IGWT, the date, and LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die gouge above the right side of the G in GOD. Die scratch NW/SE below the E in WE. Die scratch inside the R in TRUST. Obverse Stage B: Heavily abraded. Stage A die scratches are no longer visible. A horizontal die crack runs through the upper hair. Reverse Stage A: Die crack from upper leave above second L in DOLLAR to upper left R in DOLLAR. Reverse Stage B: Die crack between the leaves above the UA in QUARTER. A die crack runs down the outside of the eagle’s right wing.
