1962 10¢ Pr WDDR-003          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  A CCW spread from a pivot at about 12:00 shows on USA, ONE DIME, EPU, and the bottom of the olive branch.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  A short horizontal die scratch can be found on the upper right O in OF.

1962 10¢ Pr WDDR-004

Description:  Very light spread toward the center on the letters around the rim showing best on STATES OF AMERICA.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A: Die scratch SSW from the right lower side of the D in GOD.  Die scratches SW from where the nostril and upper lip meet.  N/S Die gouge centered left on the last T in TRUST.  Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers abraded away except the gouge at the T in TRUST.  Reverse Stage A: Die chip left-centered on the left leg of the M in AMERICA.  Die chip on the leg of the F in OF just below the lower horizontal bar.  E/W die scratch through the bottom of the vertical bar of the second T in STATES.  Reverse Stage B: Weaker doubling on the letters.  Stage A markers still present.

Description:  Very light spread toward the center on UNITED STATES, ONE, and E PLU.

Die Markers:  Obverse: A short SW/NE die scratch can be found to the right of the top of the E in WE.  Reverse: A short die gouge extends from the rim SSE of the right dot.
