2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A large partial extra tree is seen suspended in the air just to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs across the bottom left base of the bust.  A die crack runs through the upper designer’s initials.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found in the field well below the seat in the boat for the seated fisherman.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-002          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A large partial extra tree protrudes from the rocks to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die scratch runs ENE from the center right R in QUARTER.  Two small die gouges can be found to the right of the upper R in DOLLAR.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack runs through the designer’s initials.  A die chip can be found in the upper J of JF.  Reverse Stage A:  A large die gouge can be found just above the back end of the loon’s bill.  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the seated fisherman’s arm.  Reverse Stage B:  Same as Stage A.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-003          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Strong doubling shows on the right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die chip can be found in the upper R of TRUST.  A long die crack runs from NE to SW through the lower nose and into the field ending well to the left of the upper chin.  A die crack runs through the upper designer’s initials with a small die chip to the right of the top of the F.  A small die chip can be found on the middle of the base of the bust north of the R in QUARTER.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust.  A die crack runs through the upper designer’s initials with a die chip in the upper J.  A die chip can be found on the front base of the bust.  Obverse Stage C:  A new obverse die has been paired with the reverse.  A die chip can be found in the upper R of TRUST.  A small die chip can be found on the center of the base of the bust.  Reverse Stage A:  A die gouge can be found well to the right of the M in UNUM.  A small die gouge dot can be found to the left of the seated fisherman’s pole just below the shoreline.  A small die gouge (dot) can be found between the top of the target tree and the tree to the left.  Reverse Stage B:  A die scratch runs from the lower right side of the target tree ESE to the rock.  Reverse Stage C:  A heavy die scratch runs from the outboard motor ESE to the rim.

2005-P 25¢ MN SF WDDR-004   Satin Finish          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A large partial extra tree can be found just to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found near the rim below the right side of the T in QUARTER.  A die crack runs through the upper JF.  Reverse:  Trail lines run NNE from the tops of nearly all of the trees.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-005

Description:  A small part of an extra tree can be seen to the right of the bottom of the target tree.  Additional parts of the extra tree can be seen overlapping the design between the bottom of the target tree and the large rock to the right.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die gouge can be found below the N of IN.  A die crack runs from the front tip of the bust arcing to the top right side of the Q in QUARTER.  A die crack runs through the designer’s initials and a die chip can be found in the W of WC.  Obverse Stage B:  A die chip can be found on the left side of the N of IN.  Reverse Stage A:  A small die gouge can be found inside the bottom of the 5 in 1858.  A pre-die chip depression can be found in the bottom of the 2nd 8 of 1858.  A die crack runs from the top left corner of the state outline WNW to the rim.  A die crack runs from the back of the loon through the marsh and out to the rim.  Reverse Stage B:  A die chip can now be found in the bottom of the 2nd 8 of 1858.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-006          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A partial extra tree can be found to the left of the lower part of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Two die gouges can be found above the W in WE.  A die gouge can be found NE of the E in WE.  Reverse:  A short, vertical die gouge can be found below the right side of the 1st N in MINNESOTA.  A pre-die chip depression can be found inside the bottom of the 2nd 8 in 1858.

Description:  A large partial extra tree can be found well to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack extends from the left bottom point of the bust.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found between the 2nd and 3rd trees from the right.  A die scratch runs SE from the lower right 5 in 2005.  Die scratches run NE from the top of the E in EPU.  A die scratch runs WSW from the center left of the P in PLURIBUS.

Description:  A large part of an extra tree can be seen against the lower right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  None noted.  Obverse Stage B:  A die chip can be found on the lower right queue.  Obverse Stage C:  A die chip can be found in the upper R of TRUST.  Reverse Stage A:  A small die gouge can be found between the upper 2nd tree from the left and the target tree.  Reverse Stage B:  A horizontal die gouge can be found near the rim to the right of the bottom of the last tree on the right.  A short die scratch runs SW from the lower left L in PLURIBUS.  Reverse Stage C:  Two die cracks run NNW from the top left corner of the state outline to the rim.

Description:  Doubling shows on the lower right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Several die scratches run from NW to SE between the I and B of LIBERTY.  A die crack runs along the left side of the base of the bust.  A die crack runs through the upper designer’s initials.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the bottom of the B in PLURIBUS.  A small die gouge can be found inside the upper 2nd U of UNUM.  A die gouge can be found above the M in UNUM.  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the upper 4th tree from the left.  A die gouge can be found to the left of the loon’s neck and head.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-010

Description:  A partial extra tree can be seen between the bottom of the target tree and the rock to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found to the right of the upper R in QUARTER.  A die crack runs along the left bottom edge of the bust and extends west into the field.  A die crack runs through the upper designer’s initials.  Reverse:  None noted.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-011

Description:  Doubling shows as a partial extra tree to the right of the center of the target tree with a “ball-like” appearance.  Slight doubling also shows to the north of the “ball.”

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found well to the left of the mint mark.  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and into the field from the left point of the bust.  Reverse:  None noted.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-012          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A large partial extra tree can be found floating in the field between the target tree and the large rock to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust through the upper designer’s initials and into the field through the left point of the bust.  A pre-die chip depression and die crack can be found on the upper ribbon of the queue to the left of the mint mark.  Reverse:  A short, vertical die gouge can be found under the left side of the M in MINNESOTA.  A short, horizontal die gouge can be found just to the right of the top of the last tree on the right.  Numerous die scratches run ESE from the lower left 5 in the date.  Two small die gouges can be found above the M in UNUM and another can be found inside the bottom of the M.

Description:  A large partial extra tree can be seen touching the center right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  EDS.  None significant.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust through the upper designer’s initials and into the field through the left point of the bust.  A small die chip can be found to the right of the top of the C in WC.  Reverse Stage A:  A die gouge can be found to the right of the top of the front seat in the boat.  Reverse Stage B:  Die pitting can be found to the left of the bottom of the state outline.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-014

Description:  A partial extra tree protrudes from just below the center of the right side of the target tree.  Some slight doubling shows above the protrusion.  Some doubling also shows above the left side of the large rock.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  EDS.  None significant.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust through the upper designer’s initials and into the field through the left point of the bust to the top left U in QUARTER.  Small die chips can be found on the lower J, between the upper J and F, between the F and the W, and inside both loops of the W in the designer’s initials.  Reverse Stage A:  EDS.  None significant.  Reverse Stage B:  A small die gouge can be found well north of the top of the loon’s head.  A die gouge can be found north of the top of the 1st full tree to the right of the state outline.  A die crack runs from the top right corner of the state outline WNW to the rim.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-015          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  The large rock to the right of the target tree shows very strong doubling shifted well to the north.  Stage B specimens show only small parts of the doubling on the right side of the doubled area.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die gouge can be found below the O in OF.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer’s initials.  Obverse Stage C:  Same as Stage B.  Reverse Stage A:  A die gouge can be found between the upper T and A of MINNESOTA.  A die gouge can be found below the left end of the outer most ripple of water SW of the loon.  Reverse Stage B:  A die crack runs NW from the top left corner of the state outline to the rim.  Two die gouges can now be found below the left end of the outer most ripple.  Reverse Stage C:  A die chip can be found in the bottom of the 2nd 8 in 1858.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-016

Description:  Doubling shows as a close spread to the south on the upper outline of the large rock to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs WSW from the top left of the O in OF.  A die scratch runs from WSW to ENE inside the upper O in OF.  A die scratch runs from north to south between the I and N of IN.  A short die scratch runs north from the top left of the D in GOD.  Reverse:  A short, but strong die scratch runs WSW from the bottom left corner of the E in MINNESOTA.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-017

Description:  Strong doubling shows on the center right side of the target tree.  It is actually a partial extra tree against the right side of the target tree.  Close doubling shows on the top of the large rock to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs through the upper designer’s initials.  A short die crack can be found at the bottom of the queue.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs from WSW to ENE through the lower MIN of MINNESOTA.  A die gouge can be found midway between the boat and the grass below it south of the back of the seat of the standing fisherman.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-018

Description:  Strong doubling shows on the central part of the right side of the target tree.  Doubling also shows at the center of the left side of the target tree.

2005-P 25¢ MN WDDR-019

Description:  Strong doubling shows on the lower center area of the right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer’s initials.  Obverse Stage B:  The die crack across the base of the bust now extends WNW into the field from the front tip of the bust.  A nearly horizontal die crack can be found midway between the base of the bust and the ER of QUARTER.  A die crack runs ESE from the bottom of the F in JF.  A small die chip can be found to the right of the top of the F in JF.  Two die cracks run through the bottom of the queue.  A die crack can be found on the bottom of the top ribbon of the queue.  Reverse Stage A:  A short, vertical die gouge can be found below the left side of the A in MINNESOTA.  Reverse Stage B:  A die crack runs from the top left corner of the state outline NW to the rim.

Description:  A partial extra tree can be found between the lower part of the target tree and the large rock formation to the right of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found inside the top of the U in UNITED.  A die scratch runs from west to east to the right of the center of the 2nd A in AMERICA.  A die crack runs across the front of the base of the bust and into the field through the front point of the bust.  A small die chip can be found on the die crack near the front point of the bust.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found just above the front of the boat.  A die scratch runs ESE from the top of the back of the outboard motor.

Description:  Doubling shows on the lower right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  Die pitting runs through the upper TRU of TRUST.  A die gouge can be found just to the left of the lower W in WE.  Obverse Stage B:  A die chip can be found in the upper R of TRUST.  A die chip can be found to the left of the upper J in JF.  A die chip is centered on the W and C of WC.  Reverse Stage A:  A die scratch runs ENE from the lower right 5 in 2005.  Two die gouges can be found to the right of the bottom of the state outline.  Reverse Stage B:  A die crack arcs NE from the top point of the state outline.  A die crack runs NW from the top left corner of the state outline to the rim.  A die scratch arcs ESE from the top right T of MINNESOTA running through the upper A.  Die scratches run NNW from the last two trees on the right.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found just to the right of the upper R in LIBERTY.  A die crack runs across the front point of the bust and WSW into the field.  Die chips can be found on the die crack running across the front point of the bust.  A small die chip can be found just to the right of the top of the F in JF.  Reverse:  A long die scratch runs NE from the top right of the 2nd tree to the right of the state outline.  A die gouge can be found just above the top of the loon’s head.  A die scratch runs ENE from near the bottom right O to the lower left T in MINNESOTA.  Two parallel die scratches extend east from the upper right A in MINNESOTA.

Description:  Part of an extra tree can be found to the right of the center of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs from ENE to SSW through the nose and into the field just below the tip of the nose.  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer’s initials.  A die chip can be found on the base of the bust north of the ER in QUARTER.  A long die chip runs through the upper JF.  Reverse:  A die gouge protrudes from the lower right side of the partial tree to the right of the state outline.  A die gouge can be found just to the right of the tree just to the left of the state outline.

Description:  Strong doubling shows on the center right side of the target tree.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer's initials.  A die gouge can be found north of the left side of the E in WE.  Die gouges can be found on the neck south of Washington's ear.  A small die gouge can be found south of the P mint mark.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the center of the tall tree north of the seated fisherman's pole.  A die crack runs NW from the top left corner of the state outline to the rim.
