Description:  A Class II spread towards the center shows on LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Numerous light die scratches run SW/NE to the left of and to the right of the lower bust.  Reverse:  None significant.

1962-D 25¢ WDDO-002

Description:  A close CW spread from a pivot at about 2:00 shows on the date and IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A strong die scratch runs NE from the lower right of the L in LIBERTY.  A strong die crack runs across the base of the bust and into the lower ribbon.  A die chip can be found on this die crack at the back of the bust.  A die crack runs E/W through the hair to the right of the top of the forehead.  Reverse:  None noted.

1962-D 25¢ WDDR-001          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  A CCW spread from a pivot at about 8:00 shows on USA, EPU, and QUARTER DOLLAR.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die crack runs across the base of the bust and the lower queue extending to the one in the date.  A die crack runs E/W through the upper hair.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs NW/SE through the lower right wing tip.

Description:  A CW spread from a pivot at about 9:00 shows on STATES OF AMERICA, EPU, and QUARTER DOLLAR.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs from the lower G in GOD to the upper R in TRUST.  Reverse:  Diagonal die scratches run through the lower M in AMERICA.  A die scratch connects the upper O and F in OF.
