1975-D 1¢ Damaged Mint Mark Punch

Description:  An apparent split lower serif is the result of a damaged mintmark punch. It is not a RPM.

Description: D/D Northwest

Die Markers: Obverse: About E to W die scratches in front of Lincoln’s profile including through the date and mint mark. Multi-directional die scratches above LIBERTY. Die dot right of upper ear. Reverse: Die gouge above I in UNITED. Die gouge right of second S in STATES. Die scratches run SE through STATES, memorial bays, and below Lincoln memorial. Die gouge in N in CENT.

Description: D/D Tilted (Rotated)

Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratch runs NE to SW behind Lincoln’s neck. Die scratches run roughly WNW to ESE through the WE and TRUST. Reverse: Die scratches run roughly east to west through ONE and CENT.

Description: D/D West

Die Markers: Obverse:  Small die gouge under left bust tip.  Small die gouge (dot) right of mint mark.  Reverse:  Die crack from left memorial base to the rim.  Die crack on upper column 11 and 12.  Pre die crack depression column 11.  Die scratches running from upper N in ONE to mid E in ONE.

Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches run SW from lower 75 in the date.  Die scratches run SE from under and in front of Lincoln’s chin and mouth. Reverse: Die Scratches run East to West through STATES.  Die scratches run east from the last memorial column.
