1975 1¢ WDDO-001 "Best Of" Variety Description: A Class IV spread to the west shows on the 19 of the date and the RTY of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A die scratch runs NE from the lower right 1 to the upper left 9. A die gouge can be found between the upper L and I of LIBERTY. A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the left of the lower I of IN. A die scratch runs SW from the lower back of the head. Reverse: A die scratch curving south runs between the upper N and T of CENT. Submitted By: John A. In that reference it was listed as 1975 1¢ 2-O-III.
Doubling can be seen on the right side of the 1 and on the top right of the upper left loop of the 9. The arrow points to a die scratch that serves as one of the key die markers for this variety.

1975 1¢ WDDO-002 Description: Strong extra thickness shows on the date and LIBERTY. On each the spread increases as you move towards the center of the die. Die Markers: Obverse: None significant. Die Markers: Obverse: A light die scratch runs from WSW to ENE below the 9 in the date. A die scratch runs from SSW to NNE behind the neck. Reverse: Several parallel die scratches run from west to east between the 2nd S in STATES and the O in OF. A die scratch runs NW from the upper right N in CENT. Submitted By: Billy G. 1975 1¢ WDDO-004 Description: A spread to the north shows on the TY of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A light die scratch runs NNE from the top right of the Y in LIBERTY. A die gouge touches the upper right L of LIBERTY. Reverse: A die gouge can be found to the right of the center of the N in UNITED. A die scratch runs north from the upper right A in STATES to the rim. Two parallel die scratches run SE from the top of the E in ONE. A die scratch runs NW from the top left of the T in CENT. A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the right of the lower T in CENT. A die gouge can be found between the lower E and N of CENT. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: A strong vertical die gouge can be found between the E and R in AMERICA. A die gouge runs ESE from the rim above the E in STATES. Two long parallel die scratches run from the bottom of the I in UNITED to the lower left Memorial. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.
