It is a D/D Tilted (Rotated). Arcing die scratch from the top of the front curl to the left side of the U of TRUST. Die gouge on head. Die gouges above the ear. Die gouge behind the ear running south. Die gouge starting to the right of the upper ear running east and ending above the eye. Die gouge just below the eye running SE. Die scratch above the Y of LIBERTY running north. Die gouge on back running south than east to the lapel. Obverse Stage B: Two small die gouges on the top of the forehead. 1946-D 1¢ WDDR-005 "Best Of" Variety Description: A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 7:00 shows on EPU, the dots, and the upper right wheat ear. Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1946-D 1¢ WDDO-021. Reverse: A die scratch runs NNE from the top right of the right wheat ear to the rim. Two parallel die scratches run ESE from the bottom of the T in CENT to the right wheat ear. A long die scratch runs ESE from the bottom of the E in AMERICA to the lower right wheat ear. A die gouge can be found to the left of the O in OF almost touching the left wheat ear.
