1969 1¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 5:00 shows on the LIB of LIBERTY and on the letters of IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge (dot) can be found just under the E of LIBERTY.  A short die gouge runs from WNW to ESE below Lincoln’s lips.  Reverse:  A small die gouge protrudes from the rim above the right side of the U in UNITED.  A short die gouge can be found to the right of the top of the 2nd Memorial column.

1969 1¢ WDDO-002          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A strong CW spread shows on the 9 and 6 of the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A very short die gouge runs NW from the lower left of the I in LIBERTY.  A die scratch runs SSW from the middle left of the W in WE.  Reverse:  A diagonal die scratch can be found in the lower left 3rd Memorial bay.

1969 1¢ WDDO-003          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A strong CW spread shows on the 9 in the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found between the R and U in TRUST.  A die scratch runs WSW from the bottom of the I of IN.  Reverse:  A strong die scratch runs from SW to NE through the center of the E in ONE.  Two die scratches running SE from the center right side of the N in CENT meet at a point between the lower N and T.  A long die scratch runs NW from the top left of the N in CENT.  A strong die scratch runs from WNW to ESE through the lower 1st column and the 1st bay.
