1993 1¢ WDDO-001

Description:  An extremely close spread towards the center shows on some letters of GOD WE TRUST and the uppermost hair details.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found below the D in GOD.  A die crack runs E/W through the center of the front hair curl.  A die crack runs across the top of the hair between the D in GOD and the W in WE.  A short vertical die scratch can be found below the B in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  None noted.

1993 1¢ WDDR-001

Description:  Doubling shows on the left side of the 7th Memorial column to the right of the upper statue.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None noted.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found in the upper 7th bay.

Comments:  This variety was originally listed as WDDR-016 but was reassigned to help fill the gaping holes created by the elimination of the “wavy steps” varieties from the listings.






1993 1¢ WDDR-002

Description:  Doubling at an angle shows on the bottom left side of the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Memorial columns.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the right of the lower W in WE.  A die gouge can be found north of the first nine in the date.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found below the right side of the U in UNITED.  A die gouge touches the top left side of the T in UNITED.
