1941-S 1¢ WRPM-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  S/S West

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  Small S mint mark.  A long die scratch is seen in the field and close to the rim going east into the W and E of WE.  Three die scratches seen to the left of the first T of TRUST.  Obverse Stage B:  A die crack is seen on the lower portion of the lapel.  A second thinner die crack is seen going west and passing over the D in VDB and onto the rim.  Reverse Stage A:  A die crack is seen on the left wheat stalk going south ending at the rim.  Reverse Stage B:  A die crack is seen on the right wheat stalk.  A die crack seen on the top left of the letter E of ONE going NW to the U in PLURIBUS.

1941-S 1¢ WRPM-002         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  S/S Northwest

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Large S mint mark. A few short die scratches are seen at the right upper side of the N of IN. A die scratch is seen on the edge and right side of the T in LIBERTY going in a SE direction.  Reverse:  Circulated coin.  None detected.

1941-S 1¢ WRPM-003         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  S/S Southwest

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  Large S mint mark. A dot sized chip is seen under the chin. A die scratch is seen under the four in date’s crossbar.  Obverse Stage B:  A light die scratch is seen near the bottom and to the left of the lapel centered between the left and right ends of the Lincoln’s bust.  Obverse Stage C:  A die scratch extends from the upper portion of the O of GOD to the D of GOD. A die crack is seen at the bottom of the lapel.  Obverse Stage D: A crack is seen above the VDB.  Reverse Stage A:  Circulated coin none detected.  Reverse Stage B:  Circulated coin none detected.  Reverse Stage C:  A long die scratch seen between the U and N of UNITED.  Reverse Stage D:  A small die crack is seen on the left wheat stalk towards the top of and in the wheat kernels is the length of two wheat kernels at this stage.

1941-S 1¢ WRPM-004         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  S/S South

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Large S mint mark.  Die scratches are seen to the right of the mint mark and above between the mint mark and the four of date. Has a strong loop of the S from the first strike seen inside the lower loop of the mint mark.  Reverse:  None noted.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Large S mint mark.  A few die scratches are seen above and inside the loop of the nine in date. A short die scratch is seen inside the E of WE.  Reverse:  A strong die scratch is seen in the field both inside and outside of the C of CENT

1941-S 1¢ WRPM-007         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  S/S East

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Large S mint mark. Die scratch from the lower area of the back of the head running SSW through the bottom of the Y in LIBERTY. Short but thick NNW/SSE die scratches are seen between the 1 and 9 in the date.  Reverse:  A heavy NE/SW die gouge is seen at the top of the second U of UNUM. Die gouges are seen at the top of the B of PLURIBUS. These gouges were probably caused by a dropped die or tool causing the die to be reworked. Two die scratches run SSE the center crossbar of the first A in AMERICA.

1941-S 1¢ WRPM-008

Description:  S/S East

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Large S mint mark. Die gouges are seen and going west from the upper portion of IN to the G of GOD. A die crack is seen going through the L of LIBERTY in a N/S direction.  Reverse:  A die crack is seen on the right wheat stalk gong N/S with the southerly end of the crack making a turn from the wheat stalk and onto the field heading towards the rim.

1941-S 1¢ WRPM-009         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  S/S North

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  Large S mint mark. A die chip the size of a dot is seen above the eye lid. Two die scratches are seen under the chin with one ending at the bow tie with a second die scratch ending at the vest. A long die scratch is seen on the right side of the 1 in date going N/S. A die scratch is seen inside the loop of the R in LIBERTY and a small scratch on the right side of the R of LIBERTY.  Obverse Stage B:  Circulated coin.  None detected.  Obverse Stage C:  Circulated coin.  None detected.  Reverse Stage A:  First Reverse. A die crack is seen on the right wheat stalk going N/S direction with the southerly end turning towards and ending at the rim.  Reverse Stage B:  Second Reverse. Circulated coin.  None detected.  Reverse Stage C:  Circulated coin.  None detected.

Description:  S/S Northwest

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Large S mint mark. A light die scratch runs SSW from the bottom of the 4 in the date.  Two parallel die scratches run from NW to SE to the left of the upper collar.  Reverse:  Die scratches run from SSW to NNE below the left side of the E in ONE.  A die gouge (dot) can be found south of the second A in AMERICA.

Description:  S/S Tilted (Rotated)

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Small S mint mark. NE/SW die scratches through in. East by south die gouge from the rim above the left side of the D in GOD. An X-shaped die scratch is seen at the lower right side of the D in GOD. E/W die scratch is seen at the upper left side of the first T in TRUST.  Reverse: NNE/SSW die scratch is seen at the upper right side of the L in PLURIBUS. Heavy polishing gouge is seen at the rim above the PLU of PLURIBUS. N/S die crack near the top of the wheat grains on the right wheat ear.
