1935 25¢ WDDO-001          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  Doubling shows on IGWT where it is spread to the north, and slightly on LIBERTY where it is spread towards the center.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die crack from head NW to the rim through the lower left B in LIBERTY.  Die crack across the base of the bust curving south to the rim between the 1 and the 9.  A die scratch runs ENE from the upper right of the 1 in the date.  Reverse:  A short die gouge connects the top of the E and D in UNITED.  Numerous N/S die scratches through the lower part of both wings.

Description:  A CCW spread from a pivot at about 2:00 shows on IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None noted.  Reverse:  None noted.

1935 25¢ WDDO-003

Description:  A CW spread from a probable pivot shows on the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs parallel to the rim below the 3 and 5 in the date.  Reverse:  A heavy die gouge runs NW from the upper right branch just right of the arrow feathers.  A die scratch runs SE/NW above the branch north of the RT in QUARTER.

1935 25¢ WDDR-001

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on QUARTER DOLLAR, both branch stems, and slightly on USA and EPU.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs N/S through the N of IN.  Numerous die scratches run WSW from the bottom of the L in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A short die gouge can be found inside the upper U in UNITED.
