Markers: Obverse: A die gouge runs
from the lower edge of the mint mark. Die scratches run NE/SW through 194 in the
date. A die gouge (dot) and numerous die
scratches show under Lincoln’s chin. A
series of N/S oriented die scratches show in the field right of Lincoln’s brow. Die scratches run Horizontal die scratches
are present throughout most of the left sided fields from above LIBERTY to
below G in GOD. A series of E/W oriented
die scratches run between the E in WE and the first T in TRUST. Reverse: Numerous die scratches right of the E in ONE.
Numerous E/W oriented die scratches run
through the lower E in CENT. A worn die
clash is present on the upper right side of N in CENT. A strong die scratch runs from lower N to
upper D in UNITED. Crisscrossing die
scratches run above STATES. A long horizontal
die scratch runs below the ATES in STATES.
A die gouge (dot) shows below the junction of the right wheat stem and
stalk.

polishing lines from attempted removal. Vertical
die scratches between D in GOD and W in WE.
Die scratch curves up from the rim below the letters DB in VDB. Concentric die scratch along the rim under the
bust. Reverse: Die scratches run
southeast from E in EPU. Die dot below
the lower right edge of the M in UNUM. Die scratches behind C in CENT. Die scratches around T in CENT. Die scratches above STA in STATES. Die scratches through UNIT in UNITED. Die scratches below lower left wheat. NNW to SSE die scratches below F in OF and AME
in AMERICA.
