Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  Clash dies under the chin at the neck area.  N/S die scratch inside the 9 of date.  Die chip above and to the right of the 9 of date near the rim.  N/S die scratches about the mint mark.  N/S die scratch on the lower right edge of the jacket.  Obverse Stage B:  Die chips about the mint mark are no longer seen.  Die chip above and between I and N of IN.  Die chip on the back of the head near the edge of the field.  Reverse Stage A:  N/S die scratches in and around all letters of ONE CENT.  Reverse Stage B:  All N/S die scratches about ONE CENT are weaker.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  Very long die scratches north from the top of the mint mark.  Die scratches south from the beard to the vest.  Southeast die scratch from the T of TRUST.  N/S die scratches behind the back of the neck, from the TY of LIBERTY and behind the head.  Die gouge at the rim between the last two jacket folds.  A pair of rim burs to the left of VDB.  Die scratches below the L of LIBERTY along the rim.  N by W die scratch from the right side of the horizontal bar of the L of LIBERTY.  Obverse Stage B:  Die scratches run north above ending in the field above.  Two short die scratches between the upper TY of LIBERTY.  Reverse Stage A:  N/S die scratch, in the field, adjacent the right upright of the first U of PLURIBUS.  Series of heavy SSE die scratches from OF to the left wheat stem.  Light N/S die crack through the right wheat grains.  Light SSW die scratches from the M of UNUM to the top of the right wheat ear.  Reverse Stage B:  Die gouge on the lower right wheat stalk.  Die crack runs from upper left wheat stalk ending at the rim to the left.
