Description:  Extra thickness and some separation spread towards the center shows on IGWT and LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  None significant.

Comments:  The specimen examined had significant mechanical doubling on both the obverse and the reverse.










1955 25¢ Pr WDDO-002

Description:  Strong extra thickness shows on IGWT, the date, and the designer's initials.  Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die scratches run SW/NE on the upper forehead.  Die scratches run N/S in the hair at the top of the head.  Reverse:  None significant.

Description:  A strong spread towards the center shows on USA, QUARTER DOLLAR, EPU, the eagle’s tail feathers, and the lower wreath.

1955 25¢ Pr WDDR-002          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  A strong spread towards the center shows on QUARTER, the branch and leaves above QUARTER, and slightly on the DO of DOLLAR and the right branch end.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge (dot) can be found above the D in GOD.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found between the tops of the I and C in AMERICA.
