A die break can be found on the front of the bust below the one in the date. Obverse Stage B: Same as Stage A. Reverse Stage A: The reverse is a doubled die listed as 1949 50¢ WDDR-001. A close spread towards the center shows on UNITED and HALF DOLLAR. A die crack runs SSW from the left bell support through the lower right of the E in WE to the R in PLURIBUS. A small die gouge can be found above the right side of the horizontal bar of the second L in DOLLAR. Reverse Stage B: New reverse die. A small die gouge can be found to the left of the E in STATES.
