Description: Slight doubling shows between the first and the second window on the right side of the house. Slight doubling also shows in the middle of the second window.

Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die scratches extend NE from the last R in QUARTER and the D in DOLLAR. Die gouge above the I in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers still present. Die gouge above the left side of the E in QUARTER. Die gouge above the mintmark P. Obverse Stage C: Stage B scratches still present. Stage B gouges may or may not be present. A small die chip can be found to the left of the upper J in the designer’s initials. Reverse Stage A: Two strong NE/SW die scratches from Douglass's chin to the right side of the house. A few strong NE/SW die scratches above and through the designer's initials TRH. Many die gouges through and below the doubled windows. Reverse Stage B: Same as Stage A. Reverse Stage C: Likely same as Stage B. Die scratches through TRH may be weaker.

Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers still present. Long die crack across the base of the bust with die chips above the J in the designer's initials, the D in DOLLAR, and the last R in QUARTER. Reverse Stage A: Die chip on the right side of Douglass's face. Reverse Stage B: Stage A marker still present.
