1955 50¢ Pr WDDO-001

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on LIBERTY, Franklin’s nose, the 55 in the date, and slightly on the letters of IGWT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge (dot) can be found on the bottom center of the E in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs ENE from the lower right 2nd S in STATES.  A die scratch runs from SW to NE on the lower left end of the bell yoke.  A die scratch runs from SSW to NNE on the lower feather just to the left of the eagle’s right leg (viewer’s left).  Numerous fine die scratches can be found throughout the bell and the bell yoke.

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on HALF DOLLAR and AMERICA.  Significant extra thickness shows on EPU and the dots.
