1973-D 50¢ WDDO-001          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  A strong CW spread shows on IGWT, the date, and LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs SW/NE above the first L in DOLLAR.  Intersecting die scratches form an “X” above the A in HALF.

1973-D 50¢ WDDO-002

Description:  A CW spread shows from a pivot at about 12:00 on IGWT, slightly on the date, and the L and Y in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A vertical die gouge can be found SW of the L in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the top of the star below the right side of the A in STATES.
