1941-S 25¢ WDDO-001

Description:  A very close CCW spread shows on the ERTY of LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die gouge protrudes from the left side of the R in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1941-S 25¢ WDDR-001.  Strong extra thickness shows on USA, EPU, QUARTER DOLLAR, the eagle’s head, and the lower leaves and branch ends.  A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing to the Q in QUARTER.

Description:  Strong extra thickness shows on USA, EPU, QUARTER DOLLAR, the eagle’s head, and the lower leaves and branch ends.
