1979-D 10¢ WRPM-001

Description:  D/D West

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Numerous die scratches run SSW/NNE in the field to the left of the forehead.  Reverse:  A short die scratch runs north from the lower left side of the first A in AMERICA.

Submitted By:  Lawrence R. Thrash, Jr.

Cross References:  None known

Comments: The split lower serif is the result of a damaged mintmark punch, it is not related to the RPM. This coin also exhibits signs of machine doubling. If you have a copy of this die, please consider submitting it for examination to determine whether a true RPM is present.
