1972-D 50¢ WRPM-002

Description:  D/D Tilted (Rotated)

Die Markers: Obverse: Hidden Hair Strand, WMDO-001 (master die). Light die crack in the top of the hair positioned between the B and E of LIBERTY. Short N/S die scratches in the field left of the R in LIBERTY. Reverse: Large Semi-flanged G. Multiple die cracks from the rim at 10:00 o’clock with one running south through the I of UNITED to the star below and the other turning east and running through the TED of UNITED. Die crack arching downward from the right bottom of the branch, through the tail feathers and to the left side of the arrow feathers. Die crack arching slightly upward from the tip of the left side wing and through the top of about 75% of the clouds. Light NW/SE die scratches connecting the ST of STATES.
