Description: S/S/S West and West

Die Markers: Obverse: Strong N/S die scratches throughout the fields and on the throat. Strong NE/SW die scratches on the back of the neck. X-shaped die scratches inside the ear. Numerous small die gouges above IN GOD. Reverse: Strong N/S die scratches through the olive branch and ONE DIME. Two strong N/S die scratches below the ER in AMERICA. Short die gouges between the leaves of the oak leaf cluster that overlaps the torch. Numerous small die gouges around the TED in UNITED.

1951-S 10¢ WRPM-008

Description: S/S/S West and Tilted (Rotated)

Die Markers: Obverse: LDS. Designer’s initials JS almost completely abraded away. Strong N/S die scratches on the mouth, cheek, nose, neck, forehead, and through the hair. NE/SW die scratches on the edge of the nose. Strong die scratches extend S from the back of the head near where the hairline meets the neck. Old die scratches extend NNW from the chin. Large die gouge between the bottoms of the R and T in LIBERTY. Large die gouge below the tip of the nose. Large die gouge below the L in LIBERTY. Reverse: Thin and very weak N/S die scratches through most of the central design. Old finger feeder scrapes through the STA in STATES, the F in OF, and the first A in AMERICA. A slightly curved die scratch extends NW from the stem of the olive branch. Die gouge touches the upper right side of the first A in AMERICA.

Description: S/S Tilted (Rotated)

Die Markers: Obverse: Two strong N/S die scratches on the neck below the ear. N/S die scratch in front of the forehead. Short NNE/SSW die scratch in front of the throat. Short die scratch parallel to the top of the B in LIBERTY. Reverse: Thin N/S die scratches between the flame and the upper oak leaf cluster. Thin N/S die scratches through the US in PLURIBUS. Large die gouge between the IT in UNITED and the leftmost olive leaf cluster.
