1888 $20 WDDR-001

Description: An extremely strong Class II spread towards the center shows on the entire reverse. The strongest spread is near the rim and it diminishes as you move towards the center of the die. The horizontal crossbars of TWENTY DOLLARS are totally separated as are those on EPU. The spread on USA is very strong but there is no total separation. IGWT and all stars are doubled. The eagle shows the strongest doubling at the bottom and the least on the head which is essentially at the center of the die. The arrowheads, shafts, and feathers all show nice doubling.

Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratch from the center of the L through the I to the top of the B in LIBERTY and another from the center of right side of the B to the upper left E in LIBERTY. Reverse: A die scratch at the top of the ribbon bearing the word UNUM. Vertical die scratch to right of N of UNUM. Small strong die gouge NW from upper left second U of UNUM.
