Description:  A partial extra column can be found in the 4th Memorial bay.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short NW/SE die gouge can be found below the first 9 in the date.  Reverse:  None significant

1993-D 1¢ WDDR-002          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Unusually strong doubling shows on the lower left side of the 6th Memorial column.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found inside the lower 3.  Reverse:  A short die gouge protrudes from the right cornice.  A die gouge can be found at the top of the last Memorial bay.

Description:  Extra columns can be found in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs NE from the top left of the Y in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  None noted.

1993-D 1¢ WDDR-004         "Best Of" Variety

Description:  Extra columns can be found in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 10th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs WNW from the top of the 1st column to the N in UNITED.  A die scratch runs from NW to SE between the tops of the S and T in STATES.  A vertical die scratch can be found above the O in OF.  Two parallel and nearly horizontal die scratches can be found below the left base of the Memorial and to the left of the top of the O in ONE.  A vertical die scratch can be found at the bottom of the 3rd Memorial bay.  Numerous other horizontal die scratches run through the Memorial bays.

Description:  Extra columns can be found in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found well to the left of the bottom of the I of IN.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the upper U in UNITED.  A short, horizontal die gouge can be found at the center of the 1st Memorial bay.  A die gouge can be found on the Memorial roof north of the 3rd column.  A large die chip can be found on the top left side of the 2nd column.

Description:  Strong doubling shows along the entire left side of the 4th Memorial column.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found above the right side of the 2nd 9 in the date.  A die gouge can be found on the lower right side of the bust well west of the bottom of the mint mark.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found between the U and N of UNITED.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge connects the bottoms of the L and I in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found below the 2nd A in AMERICA.  A die gouge can be found between the bottom of the U and R in PLURIBUS.

Description: Tilted doubling shows in lower memorial bay 7.

Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A (First Obverse): A small die gouge shows to the right of the upper N in IN. A die gouge shows along the outer right edge of the O in GOD. A small die gouge (dot) shows in the field right of Lincoln’s hair curl. Stage B (Second Obverse): Obverse die changed. No previous die stage markers present. Very light, E-W oriented die scratches run between the W and E in WE. A die gouge shows at the rim above the second T in TRUST. A die gouge (dot) shows near the rim at 3:00. A die gouge shows behind the truncation of Lincoln’s bust. Reverse: Stage A: A series of die gouges show inside the U in UNITED. A die gouge shows at the rim above the right edge of the R in AMERICA. Stage B: The die gouges inside the U in UNITED and the die gouge above the R in AMERICA are still visible from Stage A. A die gouge shows between the lower N and I in UNITED. A die gouge shows to the right of the F in OF.

Description:  Doubling can be seen as a pair of extra feet and the lower part of the armrest well below the statue.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  About vertical die scratches show under the nose, left of the lips, and under the left side of the eye.  Reverse:  A diagonal die scratch can be found inside upper memorial bay 6.  A diagonal die scratch can be found in upper memorial bay 8.  An about vertical die scratch can be found in lower memorial bay 9.  Die cracks run along column 1, 2, and 3.  A large die chip can be found on column 12 about a third of the way from the top.
