Description:  Extra thickness shows on the date and IGWT with separation lines visible on the 19 and a nicely notched R in TRUST.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found above the 1st 9.  Die gouges can be found below the B in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die crack can be found on the lower right Memorial.

Description:  Strong extra thickness shows on the date especially the lower nines.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  Die pitting can be found below the second A in AMERICA.  A die gouge can be found to the right of the N in CENT.  A die gouge can be found to the right of the lower T in CENT.

Description:  Strong extra thickness shows on the date especially the lower nines.  A notch shows on the lower left of the one.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None significant.  Reverse:  A small die gouge touches the lower right of the I in UNITED.  A die gouge can be found between the lower N and E in ONE.

1990 1¢ WDDO-004          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  A strong CCW spread from a pivot at about 2:00 shows on LIBERTY, IN, the date, the bowtie, and the front of the vest above and below the bowtie.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge extends from the rim just to the right of the second T inTRUST.  Two diagonal die scratches can be found below the beard.  Reverse:  A die crack runs from the upper left cornice to the rim passing through the I in UNITED.  Two heavy die gouges can be found to the left of the C in CENT.

1990 1¢ WDDR-001

Description:  Extra thickness shows on USA, EPU, the dots, the designer’s initials, and ONE CENT.  Some separation from a spread towards the rim shows on EPU and on the upper letters in CENT especially the N and T.  ONE CENT has notched upper letters and a few letters in USA are notched at the bottom.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Strong die pitting can be found in the date area.  Reverse:  Two small die gouges can be found above the T in CENT.  A die crack runs across the top of the right cornice.

Description:  Extra columns can be found in the 9th and 10th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch curves NNW from the top left of the W in WE to the rim.  A die scratch runs north from the top of the 2nd T in TRUST.  A die gouge can be found NE of the zero in the date.  Reverse:  A small die gouge (dot) can be found below the left side of the 1st U in UNUM.  A die gouge can be found below the end of the right Memorial base.  A die scratch extends from the rim SE of the tip of the right Memorial base.

Description:  A strong spread to the south shows on the Memorial floor in bays 2 and 3 as well as slightly on the left side of the 4th bay.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Die pitting shows inside the zero of the date.  A small die gouge can be found south of the zero.  A small die gouge can be found on the lower bust NE of the B in VDB.  Reverse:  A light die scratch runs ENE from the right end of the lower horizontal crossbar of the F in OF.

1990 1¢ WDDR-008        "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A strong spread to the SW shows as extra Memorial columns and images of the Memorial floor in the 9th and 10th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found SE of the N of IN.  A short, horizontal die scratch can be found between the lower O and D of GOD.  A die gouge can be found at the rim to the left of the 1st T in TRUST.  A short die gouge protrudes from the top right of the 2nd T in TRUST.  A die gouge can be found between the 9 and 0 in the date.  A die gouge can be found below the 2nd 9 in the date.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found inside the U of UNITED.  A die scratch runs from SW to NE in the upper 3rd Memorial bay.  Remnants of an abraded die clash can be found at the bottom of the 4th Memorial bay.  A die scratch runs from SSW to NNE in the 9th Memorial bay.

Description:  A spread to the west shows as extra Memorial columns or partial Memorial columns in the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Two die gouges can be found north of the IB in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the 2nd A in AMERICA.  A die gouge can be found midway between the bottom of the 2nd A in AMERICA and the F in FG.

Description:  Extra columns can be found in the 9th and 10th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the center of the I of IN.  A short die gouge protrudes from the rim between the I and N of IN.  A die gouge can be found above the 2nd 9 in the date.  A die gouge can be found just SW of the 2nd 9 in the date.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs SW from the upper left of the 1st S in STATES.  Several die scratches run from west to east to the right of the lower T in CENT.  Strong die pitting can be found to the right of the lower T and between the lower N and T of CENT.  Numerous die scratches run from WSW to ENE through the steps and the right base of the Memorial.
