Description: A strong Class V CCW spread from a pivot at about 8:00 shows on the letters of IGWT, all of the upper hair details, the ear, the eyelid, the date, and the mint mark.
Die Markers:Obverse: Die gouge (dot) on the center of the neck. Short, diagonal die gouge south of the ER in LIBERTY. Reverse: None noted.
Description: A very close spread to the north shows on the LIBE of LIBERTY, the 5 in the date, and the bottom of the mint mark.
Die Markers:Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Short die scratch NNW from the upper left side of the 1st Memorial column. Die scratch NE from the upper center of the diagonal bar of the N in CENT to the top right side of the N.

Description: A close Class V CCW spread frpm a pivot at about 9:00 shows on WE TRUST, and slightly on the date and mint mark.
Die Markers:Obverse: Two nearly horizontal die scratches just above the hair SW of the 1st T in TRUST. Die gouge (dot) above the E in LIBERTY. Reverse: None noted.
Description: A very close spread towards the center shows on ONE CENT mostly as notches on the upper N of CENT. The designer’s initials show extra thickness as do the bushes on the right Memorial base. Some notching shows on the lower letters of STATES OF AMERICA and EPU.
Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: A small die gouge (dot) can be found midway between the bottom of the 2nd U in UNUM and the top of the Memorial. A small die gouge can be found inside the C of AMERICA. A heavy die scratch extends west-southwest from the bottom of the Memorial under the 10th column.

Description: A strongly tilted partial column is seen protruding from the right side of the sixth Memorial column to the left of the statue’s right knee (viewer’s left).

A die gouge (dot) can be found just to the right of the last Memorial column almost midway up from the bottom of the column.
