Description:  Significant doubling shows on the lower ear.

2000-D 1¢ WDDR-001          “Best Of” Variety

Description:  Partial extra columns tilted at about a 60 degree angle from the vertical show in the 6th Memorial column at the top and the bottom of the statue.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short vertical die gouge can be found to the right of the upper D in GOD.  A die gouge can be found to the left of the center of the S in TRUST.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the last Memorial column.

2000-D 1¢ WDDR-002          Listing Needed

Comments:  The original listing was a “wavy steps” variety and these are no longer believed to be doubled dies.


2000-D 1¢ WDDR-003

Description:  Doubling shows on the lower left side of the 7th Memorial column.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found near the rim above the W in WE.  A small die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the 2.  A small die gouge can be found inside the bottom of the B in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found just below the N in UNITED.  A die gouge can be found to the right of the top of the T in CENT.  Two small die gouges can be found on the left side of the roof.

2000-D 1¢ WDDR-004

Description:  An extra knee can be found between the upper legs of the statue.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found on the base of the bust north of the B in the designer’s initials.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found inside the upper C in AMERICA.  Small die gouges can be found below the C and the 2nd A in AMERICA.  A small die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the last Memorial column.  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the lower T in CENT.  A small die gouge can be found inside the lower N in CENT.

Description:  Extra columns can be found in the 5th, 6th, and 7th Memorial bays.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the upper I of IN.  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the lower G in GOD.  Small die gouges can be found below the last two zeros in the date.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the lower O in OF.  A small die gouge (dot) can be found above the F in FG.
