Description:  Doubling shows above the 5 in the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge runs WNW from the rim to the right of the front point of the bust.  Reverse:  Die scratches run from NW to SE through the first two Memorial bays.  I die scratch runs SE from the bottom of the S in PLURIBUS to the top of the Memorial roof.  A die scratch runs from NW to SE north of the designer’s initials. Other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.

Description:  Doubling shows on the upper left of the 2nd T in TRUST and slightly above the 5 in the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Numerous light die scratches run from SSW to NNE through the LIBE in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  Short vertical die gouges can be found to the right of the 2nd A in AMERICA.  Parallel die scratches run NE from the upper right O in ONE.

Description:  A partial vertical bar of the L shows below the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die scratch runs NNE from the bottom right of the R in LIBERTY.  Parallel die scratches run from north to south below the chin.  Reverse:  A short die scratch runs SSW from the bottom of the Memorial above the O in ONE.  A strong die gouge can be found to the right of the T in CENT.

Description:  Doubling shows below the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Two parallel die scratches run from north to south to the right of and below the chin.  A small die gouge can be found WSW of the 2nd T in TRUST.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the lower O in ONE.  A small die gouge can be found between the lower E in ONE and the lower C in CENT.

Description:  Doubling shows on the top of the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs parallel to the base of the bust to the left of the center fold.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found inside the upper R in AMERICA.  A small die gouge can be found below the right side of the N in CENT.

Description:  A very close CW spread shows on the upper letters of AMERICA, the designer’s initials, the lower letters of ONE CENT, and the upper UN of UNITED.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die scratch runs north from the center of the nose.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found inside the upper N in UNITED.  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the upper T in UNITED.  A small die gouge can be found SE of the 2nd A in AMERICA.
