1948-D 1¢ WDDO-001

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die gouge can be found below the E in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  None significant.

1948-D 1¢ WDDO-002

Description:  A close spread towards the center shows on the 194 in the date.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die gouge can be found to the left of the upper back of the head.  Several parallel die scratches run from NNW to SSE to the right of the profile.  Reverse:  A die scratch runs NE from the lower right of the T in CENT.

1948-D 1¢ WDDO-003

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the bottom of the I of IN.  A small die gouge can be found to the left of the top of the one in the date.  Die clash marks can be found to the right of the throat.  Reverse:  A die clash can be seen between the lower C and E in CENT extending down to the I in UNITED.  Two strong die gouges can be found below the left side of the C in CENT.

1948-D 1¢ WDDO-004

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short, strong, nearly vertical die scratch can be found just to the right of the upper chin.  Reverse:  Two parallel die scratches run NE from the top of the 2nd T in STATES.

1948-D 1¢ WDDO-005

Description:  A CW spread shows on the second T in TRUST, the 48 in the date, and the bottom of the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse is also an RPM which is listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1948-D 1¢ WRPM-037.  It is a D/D Tilted (Rotated).  Reverse:  A die crack runs along the left side of the right wheat stalk to the left of the top three wheat grains.

1948-D 1¢ WDDO-006

Description:  An extra eyelid can be found below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  The obverse is also an RPM which is listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1948-D 1¢ WRPM-040.  Die gouge present centered below W in WE.  Die clash present at the throat under the chin.  Reverse:  Worn die clashes are present on the lower right C and upper right N in CENT.  Small die gouge (dot) left of N in CENT approximately two-thirds from the top.
