Die Markers: Obverse: A long and very strong die dent, probably
from the tilted hub or die, shows at the rim above GOD. Several diagonal die scratches show at the 19
in the date, below Lincoln’s chin, and to the left of the top of his head. Several nearly vertical die scratches can be
found just NE of the Y in LIBERTY. Reverse:
A short, horizontal die scratch can be found between the centers of
the I and B of PLURIBUS. A small die
gouge (dot) can be found just SW of the N in CENT. A short but strong die scratch extends north
from the bottom right E of UNITED.
