Description:  Doubling shows on the underside of the L in LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short vertical die gouge can be found on the lower left side of the center fold in the vest.  Reverse:  A pre-die break depression can be found on the right side of the right cornice.

Description:  A wide CW spread shows on the top of the second T in TRUST.

1961-D 1¢ WDDO-003

Description:  Doubling shows as an extra eyelid below the normal eyelid.

Die Markers:  Obverse Stage A:  The obverse is also an RPM variety listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1961-D 1¢ WRPM-058.  It is a D/D South.  Obverse Stage B:  A strong die scratch runs NNE from the top of the chin through the tip of the nose.  Die scratches run NE from the top of the R and T in LIBERTY.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse.  Obverse Stage C:  The Stage B die scratches are very weak or completely gone.  Reverse Stage A:  A short vertical die gouge can be found to the left of the lower T in CENT.  Reverse Stage B:  Die scratches run SE from the F in OF.  Remnants of a die clash can be found in the lower third Memorial bay.  Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.  Reverse Stage C:  The Stage B markers are now extremely weak or missing.  The die clash remnants in the lower third bay now look like a second clash took place.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs parallel to the right side of the T in LIBERTY.  A die scratch runs N/S below the right side of the R in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found south of the C in AMERICA.
