1984-D 1¢ WDDO-001          "Best Of" Variety

Description:  A strong spread towards the center shows on the date and the right half of the bottom of the bust.  A closer spread towards the center shows on IGWT while extra thickness shows on LIBERTY.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short, diagonal die gouge can be found well north of the E in LIBERTY.  Reverse:  A die gouge can be found at the right base of the 12th column.  Thin die cracks run down the upper 9th and 12th columns.

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on the bottom of the bust.  Extra thickness shows on LIBERTY and IN GOD.

Description:  Doubling shows on the bottom of the letters in AMERICA, the designer’s initials, and the upper letters in CENT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  None noted.  Reverse:  A small die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the left vertical bar of the N in CENT.
