1989-D 1¢ WDDO-001

Description:  A spread towards the center shows on the date.  A notch shows on the bottom left of the 1.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A die scratch runs north from the top right Y in LIBERTY.  Light parallel die scratches run from NNW to SSE to the left of the date.  A small die gouge can be found near the bottom right point of the bust.  Reverse:  A short, diagonal die gouge can be found on the roof above the 7th Memorial bay.

1989-D 1¢ WWHR-001          Doubled Working Hub

Description:  A spread towards the rim shows on EPU increasing from left to right.  Doubling also shows on the right dot and the first A in AMERICA.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  Will vary on the different working dies.  Reverse:  Will vary on the different working dies.

Description:  Doubling shows at the top of the statue’s right knee.

1989-D 1¢ WDDR-001

Description:  Extra thickness shows on USA, EPU, ONE CENT, and the designer’s initials.  Some separation shows on EPU and the designer’s initials.  Notches show on AMERICA and ONE CENT.

Die Markers:  Obverse:  A short die gouge extends from the rim above the first T in TRUST.  A die scratch runs SSE from the lower right of the G in GOD.  A small die gouge can be found SW of the mint mark.  A die scratch curves from the rim through the upper D in GOD and the upper letters in WE and then back to the rim.  Reverse:  A short die gouge runs south from the upper E in CENT.
